Air Pacific, Fiji's national airline, is streamlining its flight routes due to increased running costs that are felt by other airlines world-wide. It has decided to suspend flights between Vancouver and Nadi via Honolulu. Canadian travelers to Fiji will be able to fly to Nadi via Los Angeles, the alternative route, with the LAX Vancouver sector covered by Alaska Airlines. Although passengers are no longer able to go via Honolulu on the B737 aircraft, they will be able to enjoy more spacious seating and onboard amenities offered by the Air Pacific 747 aircraft between Los Angeles and Nadi.
