Westpac Bank Denarau now open on Saturdays

The Westpac bank's branch at Port Denarau in Fiji is now open each Saturday from 8.30 a.m. to 1 p.m, starting from 18th April 2008. The decision will mean that local customers and tourists will be able to access general banking facilities - including foreign currency exchange and instant international money transfer services - conveniently at the weekend.

Port Denarau on Denarau island near Nadi, is a busy tourist area, with travellers going to and from the popular island destinations, the Mamanucas and Yasawas. A large shopping mall was opened in September 2008 and this move by the Westpac is seen as a positive step providing convenient banking to local residents, tourists and travellers.

Denarau Island resorts include the Sheraton, Westin, Sofitel, Radisson and Hilton brands.
