Suva Art Festival Promotes Local Artists
THE week long Wasawasa Festival of Oceans in Suva is designed to promote awareness of local artists in Fiji islands. The festival organisers invited international artists to conduct workshops as part of the activities that will end on Saturday 6th December and they have plans on increasing the number of skilled artists in the years ahead. The focus is on supporting and empowering local artists, as well as bringing awareness to Fijians regarding sustainable solutions for Fiji's land and ocean environment.

Savusavu South Pacific Music Festival 2007
The third Savusavu South Pacific Music Festival will be held on November 22-25. It will feature musical and cultural events showcasing some of the region’s best musical and dance performers.

3rd Annual Savusavu South Pacific Music Festival
The four day Savusavu Music Festival titled “3rd Annual Savusavu South Pacific Music Festival – a musical safari through the islands” will be held from 22-25 November, 2006. The culturally-rich music festival was created for three reasons: 1) to celebrate and showcase the South Pacific Islands music and other performing arts, featuring Fiji as a central gathering place for the vent; 2) to increase business to area resorts, local towns and indigenous operators; and 3) to bring additional interest and awareness to the Northern Islands and, in particular, to promote Savusavu as a destination.

Savusavu South Pacific Music Festival 2006
The third annual Savusavu South Pacific Festival is scheduled for November 22 to November 25. The venues this year are Koro Sun Resort, Jean Michael Cousteau Resort, and Tuitai Cruise.
There will be many local Fijian bands as well as bands from the other South Pacific Islands, including Hawaii, Fiji, Vanuatu, New Zeeland and Tahiti.

Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival 2006
The Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival in Suva will be start on October 2nd and until Fiji Day on October 10th 2006. The festival theme this year is "Living Culture and Living Traditions." The Festival started in 1996 and include cultural and musical exibits from countries such as Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.
