Fishing vacations at Mango Bay Fiji
For those looking for some fishing adventures on their Fiji vacation, check out Mango Bay Resort on the Coral Coast. This new, funky, flashpacker-style destination is a real hideaway, with secluded setting and its own bay.

The fishing vessel is the Mango Princess, a 28ft Islander centre console, powered by a 200hp Yamaha 4 stroke outboard motor. It cruises at 25 nos. The vessel is game rigged with all electronics and safety equipment. On board they use all Shimano trolling and casting rods.

The local crew are both experienced and helpful. They are very flexible and know where to find the fish! Mango Bay's fishing trips accommodate everyone from serious IGFA tournament anglers to families and beginners. Mango Princess is Fiji's friendliest game boat.

When it comes to reef fishing, expect to catch snapper, trevally, coral trout and emperor. Half-day reef fishing cost FJ$550 for the entire boat, carrying a maximum of 6 anglers. The price includes gear, bait, snacks and drinks.

Charges are FJ$600 for half-day (4 hrs), FJ$800 for 3/4 day (6 hrs), or FJ$1000 for full day (8-9 hrs). Maximum of 6 anglers per trip. The full-day trip includes snacks, lunch and beer. The half-day trips includes snacks and drinks.

Guests enjoy salt water fly fishing with Fly Fish Fiji in the tropical Yasawa Islands
As a South Pacific tropical beach destination, Fiji Islands is well-known. Honeymooners, wedding couples, families, luxury and budget travellers have been travelling to Fiji in search of sun and sand for many years.

More recently, Fiji has been increasingly developing its adventure destination niche, as the islands provide much in the way of active and exciting tropical holidays. From sailing charters, to mountain biking, kiteboarding to jet-boat rides, river rafting to ocean kayaking, Fiji has something for everyone.

Fishing is increasingly popular, and the keen fisherman - professional or hobbyist - can find operators offering sport fishing, game fishing, handline fishing, and trolling. From the Denarau Marina on Denarau Island in Nadi, operators include C-Dreamer Cruising & Charters and Adrenalin Watersports, for example.

For fly-fishing enthusiasts, Fly Fish Fiji operates out of Tavewa in the beautiful Yasawa island group offshore from Nadi and Lautoka.
