South Pacific Tours and JTB Oceania
Tour company JTB Oceania and South Pacific Tours Japan have formed a joint venture company which commenced operations on September 1, 2006. The new company, South Pacific Oceania Limited, will target Japanese inbound business. The company hopes to expand its network beyond Japan.

Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival 2006
The Melanesian Arts and Cultural Festival in Suva will be start on October 2nd and until Fiji Day on October 10th 2006. The festival theme this year is "Living Culture and Living Traditions." The Festival started in 1996 and include cultural and musical exibits from countries such as Fiji, Solomon Islands, Papua New Guinea and Vanuatu.
